The TMS project in Mauritius continues to develop & following his contributions, Dr Abdelghani was invited by the Mauritian Ministry of Health to take part in the inauguration ceremony of their first public TMS service.
In August Dr Abdelghani volunteered his time & expertise free of charge to assist them with this project and train their TMS clinical team.
He recently returned for 3 days to continue helping them to establish the public service and give more mentoring to their clinical team on the ground.
During this visit he also gave a lecture on the History of TMS and how it works as part of a workshop that took place prior to the ceremony.
The ceremony and the workshop was covered in the main Mauritian TV channel MBC and was aired on the same day in the main news hour (Monday 3rd September).
Dr Mohamed Abdelghani is also working on an innovative and unique project with the ministry of health and the Minister of Health in Mauritius with the goal of making TMS available to all the citizens of Mauritius who have Treatment Resistant Depression that could benefit from TMS.
